  8. “Je Suis Alcoolique….. et c’est magique?”

Appropriate to the title of this song, we met the ever so charming and musically gifted Olivier in our neighborhood bar Le Duke (R.I.P.) Obviously we connected right away, and when our friend Aron showed up for a visit, it was just too much raw talent at one time to waste!  Well, one thing led to another as they say.

    • project~ Heathen clothing company
    • role~ designer women’s line

Well, yes… and proud of it.   Heathen was once my nickname.  Now its a clothing line.  Started by my crazy little brother a few years ago while he was travelling in Bali.  He called me for his first micro investment and then blew my mind when he came back with all kinds of amazing designs.  With the hard work and dedication of his best friend Cort and his girlfriend Shayne we have set up a small factory in Bali and we are in our 3rd year of production. Yay us!

“A Star Is Born”

project~ Jasper identity
role~ logo design, phonetography
Gerald and Sandra are two of the smartest most original people I’ve met in Paris.  In fact Gerald was the first person I met in Paris. (occasionally I have great luck) At that time, they were directing the creative department at Le Public Systeme, but, at last they succumbed to the call of the wild and set out to start their own little family.  Et voilà, Jasper was born, fully grown, and exploding with innovative ideas, butterflies, electricity and very fast dancing legs.

“Frank N. Sylverlining”

project~ Blamo Custom Show at Million Fishes
role~ artist
Spencer sent me a package with a little wooden nimbus toy and asked me to customize it for part of a group show in SF.   I agonized over this for some reason, but in the end, I came up something that seemed so obvious from the begining.  What would I do if I were being followed around by a storm cloud?  Harness the electricity and make light of course.  Here’s his story:
Frank N. Sylverlining aka “nimbus”: Inventor, conduit, and alchemist It may look as though Frank is being followed by a sad storm cloud. In fact he is from the family of renowned Sylverlining inventors who have long made a sport of hunting down sad storm clouds to capture and harvest their electricity. The Sylverlinings provide light and many other inventive ideas (some more successful than others) to all the good Blamoville inhabitants. Frank is the youngest and perhaps most precocious of the family. He caused a big scandal a few years back when during the town fair his Electric Kool-Aid stand fell over and burned down town hall and the house of worship. Fortunately everyone survived. But Frank was badly burned and the left side of his body had to be reconstructed by Grandma Shelly who’s eyesight is not what it used to be.
